This the proposal I've submitted to Fund10 of Project Catalyst (DAO in Cardano ecosystem). I'm republishing it on my crypto-blogs to get more feedback from the general crypto community. And of course, if you are ADA holder soon you'll be able to vote for my proposal.

How do we make Cardano their first choice when it comes to building dApps, innovating and collaborating?
[GENERAL] Summarize your solution to the problem (200-character limit including spaces)
Answer:
My idea - to do events about Cardano with a focus on inviting devs and communicating with them.
20 community events all around Ukraine will cover whole country and will engage more people into Cardano
[GENERAL] Does your project have any dependencies on other organizations, technical or otherwise?
Answer:
No
[GENERAL] If YES, please describe what the dependency is and why you believe it is essential for your project’s delivery. If NO, please write “No dependencies.” .
Answer:
No dependencies
[GENERAL] Will your project’s output/s be fully open source?
Answer:
Yes
[GENERAL] If NO, please describe which outputs are not going to be open source. If YES, please write “Project will be fully open source.”
Answer:
Project will be fully open source
[METADATA] Category of proposal
Answer:
Events
[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.
Answer:
I proposed a similar idea in the past (in Fund7) https://cardano.ideascale.com/c/idea/60576
Then, maybe partially because Ukraine is now on the news, some people wrote to me and encouraged me to resubmit this idea.
Now we have a new generation of crypto-entrepreneurs and devs in Ukraine.
There are more crypto meetups, events, and conferences, but there people and devs rarely speak about Cardano.
By making specific Cardano events all around the country I hope to reach out to many new developers and engage them into Project Catalyst and Cardano.
[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?
Answer:
The idea is to engage with local crypto and IT communities and organize events. I expect the average number of participants to be 40-100 people and depending on the audience interest, I will be able to shift my presentation and focus on the subjects which are more interesting for the audience (Catalyst, Cardano ecosystem news, development, governance, some economical vision, etc.)
In some of the locations, I will engage with local Cardano enthusiasts and will ask them to make a speech or co-host the event. Sometimes some crypto enthusiasts might join me for a trip.
[IMPACT] How do you intend to measure the success of your project?
Answer:
Even if from 1 event 1 good dev will join Cardano ecosystem, I think this will be success.
And I hope to 20-100 or even more devs to join Cardano ecosystem after these events.
[IMPACT] Please describe your plans to share the outputs and results of your project?
Answer:
All the data will be shared with Cardano community and on the resources of Cryptotexty media (I'm also thinking about creation a site about Cardano in Ukrainian)
The results later will be shared with Catalyst community on the townhall
[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability?
Answer:
I'm in Catalyst since Fund1 and l study Cardano ecosystem for years. I participated and organized Cardano events, I stied also the technical part.
Last years I drive in Ukraine a lot, so I visited almost all of the cities on the list and I know local people, venues, which would be good for the organization of events,
[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] What are the main goals for the project and how will you validate if your approach is feasible?
Answer:
The main goal is to attract the developers into Cardano ecosystem. If 20 or more active devs will join the approach of meetup organization will prove to be efficient.
The second goal is to raise the general awareness about Cardano and project Catalyst for the general crypto community
[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed breakdown of your project’s milestones and each of the main tasks or activities to reach the milestone plus the expected timeline for the delivery.
Answer:
Here is the list of the cities where I plan to organize these meetups. The only change with previous proposal is Mariupol city, which is destroyed and occupied by russian aggressors.
However after the end of Fund10 the situation might change and I might add more cities
Each city, each event will be a milestone, and all the information before the event and after with be shared with Cardano communities
1 . Kyiv - capital
2 . Lviv
3 . Kharkiv
4 . Odessa
5 . Lutsk
6 . Ivano-Frankivsk
7 . Vinnytsia
8 . Dnipro
9 . Zhytomyr
10 . Poltava
11 . Uzhhorod
12 . Mykolaiv
13 . Cherkasy
14 . Chernihiv
15 . Kherson
16 . Zaporizhzhya
17 . Khmelnytskyi
18 . Kamianets-Podilskyi
19 . Ternopil
20 . Kropyvnytskyi
[CAPABILITY/ FEASIBILITY] Please describe the deliverables, outputs and intended outcomes of each milestone.
Answer:
Each event will bring new people to the Project Catalyst and Cardano ecosystem
Before each event the information will be shared in Ukrainian on all the major local platforms (including crypto sites, facebook, Instagram)
After the event, we'll make the publication with photos in Ukrainian language
Then, this text will be translated to English and shared on wider resources (including crypto-blogs)
Each event will be broadcasted live on Cryptotexty youtube channel -
https://www.youtube.com/@CryptoTexty1/
[RESOURCES & VALUE FOR MONEY] Please provide a detailed budget breakdown of the proposed work and resources.
Answer:
The total budget is: 111 100 ADA
Which is 5555 ADA for 1 event, 1 city (at the moment it is $1600)
The budget per event includes transport costs, the venue rent, accommodation, maybe coffee or drinks for participants, and even ADA and Cardano-tokens giveaways (still thinking if that's a good idea - please share your thoughts on what do you think).
The budget per event also includes my reward and reward of assistant(s) who will help me in the organization.
Each event will be different, each city will be different, but we can assume the following cost breakdown:
Transport cost (car fuel, etc.) - $150 - 514 ADA
Accomodation - $100 - 343 ADA
Venue rent (including drinks) - $300 - 1029 ADA
Advertising costs (including facebook, Instagram) - $200 - 686 ADA
Video/Photo production - $300 - 1029 ADA
ADA contest or giveaway - $100- 343 ADA
Proposer reward (shared with the assistants team) - $450 - 1544 ADA
[RESOURCES & VALUE FOR MONEY] Who is in the project team and what are their roles?
Answer:
In addition for myself (as I will be main presenter, organizer) I consider inviting Alyona (my long-time assistant who helped me with Cryptotexty for years) and also Max (developer who only now becomes interested in Cardano)
Alyona will help with general organization, advertisement, and publications
Max will help to speak and communicate with developers
[RESOURCES & VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?
Answer:
I think the value for money will be very good for the Cardano ecosystem
For 32K I propose to make 20 events, while some events in other countries had way bigger budget only for 1 location and 1 day
Also in Ukraine there are many developers so let's imagine, we attract 100 devs - this means only $320 for attracting a developer
This is also a tiny amount compared to what other crypto foundations, and funds provide as hackathon rewards or incentives with the order to attract developers.
