Steem Og Update.

What’s up Blurt!! So I keep meaning to get more active here, but my mind keeps wondering. A lot is going on with my Steem Og For those who are unaware, Steem Og is a cross I made in tribute to Steem, from when I was naive and thought Steem would change the world. It is a F2 from a Tahoo Og X Og female, and an Inca Gold father. But the Steem Og is more then just a strain. It is an idea. An idea of unity, a tool to promote. I sent seeds to a handful of Steemians for us to all grow out, and search for a winning phenotype. 2 years later the Steem has been grown in 9 states, and 3 countries! Almost as successful as Steem the blockchain! Lol

The one I am currently growing is leaning heavy on the Sativa side of the spectrum. I have it in regular soil and add compost teas, plus Silica. Early on I incorporated LST(low stress training) so it would grow into a Bush vs growing vertical. This is to keep it lower then my fence and not bring unwanted attention.

This plant is actually my biggest plant I have grown to date! Also the most healthiest. The Brix levels have been high since the start! Now if only I can get the same results as indoor. Lol

It is around 20 days of flower. The nodes are very tight, which I love! It is really not putting of a strong smell yet. I do suspect the buzz will be a great day time smoke. The type of buzz that gets shit done! You know, the type that makes you start cleaning the house right after a bowl.

I have lollipoped most of the bottom growth. This helps divert more energy into the colas. If I kept the growth there it would be not worth a damn. Maybe good for edibles, but then I would have smaller top buds, and also open the window for other problems, like mold. So it is best to lollipop. Ideally you should be done with lollipoping after the 2nd week of flower.

Here in my county, we are experiencing 3 big wildfires. One of them, The River Fire started 10 miles away from my home! It has been raining ash, which is no good for humans, but great for the soul! Now I am not so sure how good it is for the ash to land on my plant. I just hope it stops by the time my flowers form.
