Seedling Update

What's up BLURT! So it has been a good start so far with the new grow. Starting from seed is a bit slower then getting clones, which in my area I have a great access to high quality clones. A clone also guarantees you a female. Starting from seed, you can get males. But I am hoping I do get a male. Males are very valuable, since that is how you make more seeds! With care and selection, you can handle males so they don't pollinate a whole crop. Hopefully soon I will be doing a post on how to control pollinate. Another great thing about starting from seed, is you get a plant with a tap root, there fore it is stronger then a clone. But most of all, a clone can be exposed to pathogens, or mold, but starting from seed, you are starting fresh. With the proper conditions, you can make sure you have a plant that is as healthy as can be.

So for those just tuning in, I am growing an Auto Flowering strain, called White Grape, from BIF Beans. Then I am growing a Photo Period Strain, Banana Punch #7 x Mac and Cheese, from Santa Cruz Cannabis Company. It is my first time growing an AUTO, and should be an interesting challenge growing them alongside the photos. So far the only thing I have added to the watering, is pure coconut water. Next week I will hit them with a RHIZO blast. They are under the Mars Ts1000, with a 20/4 light cycle. During the dark period, I turn on my heat mat.

Soon I will set up the new 4x4 tent, and get these setup. I may have already doomed my Autos, since transplanting them is something they do not like. I have extreme confidence I will do them good though. Space is just the issue, and is why I decided to start them in a tray. To my Auto growers out there, what are your thoughts?
