This is a quick note. Setting up the distribution script has reminded me that I had forgotten a couple of conditions to receive rewards.
The minimum holding to be eligible to receive weekly payouts will be 1 BYT. Fractions of a token are calculated, so that 2.345 BYT will receive more than 2 BYT, but we need to set a minimum. This also avoids dust payouts. I currently see 3 members with less than 1 BYT.
Should the value of a BYT reach some astronomical value, then we can review the minimum requirement.
One issue that was mentioned in the launch post, but worth a reminder here, is that tokens placed for sale on the market do not count towards one's active holdings, so will also not count towards distributions.
A few other general matters. The BYT fund currently has 400,000 BP, plus about 100 HIVE either waiting to be withdrawn or held as working capital. Almost 6,000 BYT tokens are currently active.
I shall be writing more about FinSoc (financial social media) and the Paying Attention Economy (PAE) over the weeks, but it really is up to members to stay informed. This could be updates to the terms of the fund, it could be fresh data or other offshoot ventures. It is very easy to grow a large portfolio of "passive" investments and lose track of the fact that they are not always 100% truly passive.
