This is to confirm the decision taken in the recent proposal by the members of the BYT program to extend the program until the end of August 2022.
A similar vote will take place in early August 2022.
The original document can now be amended to include this extension to August 2022. The aims of the program remain unchanged, although we have now added the Cosmos network to our original list of Blurt and Hive ecosystems.
To add a personal note, I have managed a number of such tokens across both Steem and Hive, and one lesson learnt is that nothing is stable. An algorithm, and a program constructed around it, can be wonderfully successful... for a time. Just like a stockmarket or a national economy, success is relative to other competing structures. If the only measures of success are mathematical, then everything eventually converges to some sustainable mean - that may be above zero. Having a fixed-term program, with options to extend, means that we can ride the wave till it breaks, feeling stoked rather than wiped out - there will always be another wave to ride.
