How I turned a crisis into an opportunity

in bluttribe •  3 years ago

Due to the type of stuff I do and the high level of internet speed needed to swiftly carry out my daily activities, a day like this could have easily ended in a crisis mode for me because of connectivity drops and slow internet speed

I can't vouch for fast internet speed here. The fastest I get is 2Mbps and that happens once in a blue moon. More often than not, I get an average of 20kb/s and it goes up to 200kb/s when I'm downloading heavy files. Regardless of this, it does not take so much toll on my smooth surfing of the WWW. As far as I get signals to show that there is internet access, I will gladly wait for an extra minute or Sec to carry out any operation while surfing the net.

Fast forward to today, my internet decided to greet me with inaccessibility.

In my usual fashion, I tried to turn off and On the internet connection simultaneously, but nothing tangible came out of the operation. My last resort was to reboot my phone, but I got the same result. I decided to give my phone a deserved rest and switch over to my laptop. My wireless network adapter was also not helpful.

"This is likely because of my network providers".

That's how I summed up the situation before admitting that I was in a state of Crisis. Internet connectivity crisis, so to speak. No amount of troubleshooting would have helped from my side. I decided to turn the crisis into an opportunity. An opportunity to take care of stuff offline.

I started with preparing a sumptuous meal. It have been a while since I cooked a proper meal the Nigerian way. I have been preparing fast food since last weekend complemented with fruits and golden morn, but today was a different story.

I prepared tomato stew with a big bird.

Lol. Those turkeys can be extremely oily.

Not a full one though. I wouldn't dare to get that when I live alone. I just bought a kilo of frozen turkey and used it to prepare tomato stew. I used 40% of the tomato sauce to cook a combination of Spaghetti and Macaroni. The remaining stew will come in handy as the week progresses.

Cool, isn't it?

I also went to the market today. The major plan was to buy Perfume, but I also bought hot bread, Cameroon pepper and crayfish.

I got home by 16:50. At that time, the internet connection has returned to normal - between 2kb/s and whatnot. To be honest, I couldn't care less about it. I turned it off, washed up and watched one episode of a Kdrama before sleeping off.

Now I'm awake. I've cleared all my notifications on Discord and I've done some stuff on Dreemport.

What a way to turn a crisis into an opportunity.

Time to wreck my BP 😂.
