Blurt Women Proposal

At the dawn of women’s month in South Africa, there’s no better time to launch a channel for powerful women around the world to share their journeys and inspire all women. You might be thinking there’s many challenges of this nature out there such as #blackwhite challenge or #womenempowerwomen challenge which is brilliant.

In addition I wanted to truly depict the journey of these amazing power females, how did they conquer the boardroom and the dinner table? What truly inspired change for them. As women we rarely talk about our journey's but this is about to change.

Historically, strong themes like fair pay or equality in the workplace were often whispers in the corridor, our predecessors who have fought for equality allow us to reap the rewards, for example just days ago New Zealand’s parliament has unanimously passed an Equal Pay Amendment Bill that ensures workers are not paid less because of their gender.

We rarely hear about stories of unsung heroines purely because it is not in our nature to sing our own war cry. Just last month, my company launched a program to bring about the women of the year 2020. We had 8 nominations, none of the ladies nominated themselves and as Head of the marketing division, I did not need to conduct a market research report to understand why, I knew as a female that we don’t take credit for our hard work or share our stories to inspire others, we keep our head down and work.

Which is where Blurt comes in, this community will allow for strong powerful leaders to share their stories and influence others to share theirs which builds on a community of powerful female women.

Whilst all this sounds truly inspiring for women, we will only be able to achieve and grow this community by appealing to the blurt foundation and its founders to delegating 1 million Blurt Power to @blurtwomen which will help reward the community for their inspiring posts and women empowerment.

The Blurt foundation will benefit positively should the community grow and we are able to onboard more women users to the platform.

If approved, I will write a new post which would help women understand what tags to use so we are able to get curated accordingly.

Thank you for your consideration.

Regards,
@kristin89

Hi @kristin89, welcome to #Blurt! Thanks for being passionate and coming up with a great proposal to bring women empowerment to Blurt. Having daughters myself, I think this is a very important topic. Wage equality for women is still something that is being fought for in this day and age, can you believe it.

The @blurtwomen account has been provisioned for you and the posting key will be issued to you in private message. The account is preloaded with 100 BLURT for fees, let me know when it runs out.

Thank you @megadrive for this opportunity.
Women empowerment is a topic close to my heart, I was raised by a single woman who is powerful and influential in a community back home. There are many stories untold , sadly women don't speak up enough which is why I believe this platform will create seismic shifts allowing narratives like equal pay and many others to receive a different ending.
