Woman vs womyn or womxn. Are we still searching for our identity?

In the early 1800's the term woman gained traction commonly referred to as the wife of a man. By 1975 feminists invented the term womxn. Making a bold statement that we are not the subset of men.

So who is Blurtwomen? She is the girl reading this post right now thinking if she is good enough, or the mother whose just put her child to bed with 5 minutes to skim through social media before she passes out. Blurtwomen is the nurse serving the community amidst this pandemic, she is also the career serving mogel wondering if she will ever settle down.

Blurtwomen create, cultivate, push boundaries but most importantly they empower other women. They inspire, teach and nurture. Many women find their identity in whom they serve, be it the community, the home or the office. When asked to describe ourselves we often say I am a mother of three, a wife, a sister or even a daughter. We ascribe meaning to our existence by the labels we receive from others, isn't it time we change our labels and find our true identity, which Blurtwomen are you?
