Today I am here to share with you a North Indian delicacy Paneer Pakora. In India, generally, on every occasion, this dish serves as a starter. Kids also like to eat this dish because this dish; is less spicy and crunchy from the outside and soft from the inside. So without wasting time, let's start making Paneer Pakora(Indian fitter with Cottage cheese).
Ingredients:-
1.Indian Cottage Cheese- 300g.
2.Red chili powder-1/2tsp.
3.Turmeric powder-1/2tsp.
4.Asafoetida- 1/4tsp.
5.Chaat masala- 3/4tsp.
6.Garam Masala- 1/2tsp.
7.Carom seeds- 1tsp.
8.Gram flour- 150g.
9.Rice flour-50g.
10.Black pepper powder-1/2tsp.
11.Ginger-green chili paste-1-1/2tsp.
12.Soda bicarbonate- A pinch.
13.Salt- To taste.
14.Sunflower Oil- As required (for deep frying).
Preparation Method:-
Step 1- First, cut cottage cheese into cubes. Transfer them to a bowl. Now, add red chili powder, chat masala, 1/2tsp ginger-green chili paste, garam masala. Mix well and set aside.
Step 2- In another bowl, add gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, carom seeds, asafoetida, black pepper powder, soda bicarbonate, salt, and remaining ginger-green chili paste.
Step 3- Start mixing all ingredients by adding little by little water and make a thick but free flowing batter. Once get the proper texture set aside.
Step 4- Place a deep, wide mouth vessel(Kadai) on medium flame. Add sufficient oil to the Kadai. Let the oil heated well.
Step 5- Now, with the help of a spoon, dip the paneer pieces into the batter one by one and slide them carefully into the oil. Fry them till golden.
Step 6- Once pakoras become golden in color, take them out from the oil and place them on a kitchen towel.
Step 7- Now transfer pakora into a serving plate and sprinkle chat masala, and serve hot with chutney.
