Problems encountered with AMD E-450 hardware
- Constant disconnection of the node, leading to the loss of blocks. Even when restarting the services, it should always physically restart.
- High latency of over 2000 ms, compared to other Witnesses, was not acceptable
- The processor has the following cache levels L1 64 kb and L2 512 kb, something that did not benefit the access to the Blockchain
- The processor has two cores with the capacity to handle only two processes. This configuration is less than a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B which has four cores and the ability to handle more processes.
Improvements obtained with the change of hardware
- Better access to the Blockchain. The loss of blocks has been stopped immediately (Does not imply that it can not happen in the short term, be without light or internet can lead to it too)
- Improvement of latency, decreasing it to - 500 ms, achieving stabilization of transactions and therefore better performance
Disadvantages of making the change
- This equipment consumes much more electrical energy than the previous equipment, so it is possible that my expenses in that line will increase
- Having to use my work equipment in order to gain stability, besides not being able to play Counter Strike anymore and this makes me very very sad.

Hi @freakeao so you just update the computer and the node is stable?
The stability is given in part by the power of the processor and the amount of instructions that handled my previous equipment, had two cores, which could only handle two processes or threads and reached the collapse, the cache levels were too low to handle the amount of recurring transactions in the node. And another additional point is the network card that went from being a 10/100 mb to a Gigabit Ethernet. Since the change I have achieved a better transfer rate by decreasing the latency, I have not received any more notifications that I have lost a block. The ideal would have been to have a Raspberry that has better features than the AmD 450-E. Let us record a video to complement this post. The difference is abysmal. I have been monitoring the transactions made, the dino blurt notifications, for over 24 hours. I must say that I am pleased with this new configuration
Very nice!
