Preparing a stone pot for cooking .... Have you ever cooked in a stone pot?

Hello friends.

Today I am going to share one of my experiences with you.

This is interesting to me.

A few days ago, one of my sisters bought me a small stone cauldron.

This boiler was purchased from a workshop in the city of Semnan.

In that workshop, beautiful utensils are made from pieces of stone. Such as small pots, trays, glasses, etc.

This small cauldron also reached me.

There are a few things to keep in mind when using this pot, and in this post I will share all my experiences with you.

There are a few things to do before cooking in this stone cauldron.

  • First, we have to rub olive oil on the body of this pot for two days in a row.
I do not know why olive oil is used.
  • On the first day, I soaked the napkin in oil and soaked the entire inner and outer surface of the pot in olive oil.
  • When the stone surface of the pot was soaked in oil, it took on a dark color.
  • I thought it would stay dark, and I was happy, but it did not stay dark.
  • After another day, I dipped the inside and outside of the pot in liquid oil.
  • After another day, I washed the pot, put it on a very low heat after drying, and poured milk into it.
  • I gave the milk a chance to boil slowly.
  • I did not fill the whole container with milk, because I did not have that much milk and the seller of the pot did not tell me to pour the whole container with milk.

The milk boiled over low heat and I turned off the heat under the pot and gave the pot a chance to cool.

It took several hours for the surface to cool.

Then I washed it with water and dishwashing liquid.

When we want to cook food in a stone pot, we must be careful that the heat under it is not too high because the heat causes the stone to crack.

When the food is boiling inside, we should not add cold water to the food because it also causes cracks in the stone.

After the food is ready, we should not take it under cold water and cook it before it has cooled down.

The heat under the pot should be low during the whole cooking time.

Pour as much water as we want our food into the pot, because when the food is prepared with low heat, the food water does not evaporate.

By observing a few points, we can prepare a delicious meal in a special and stylish dish and enjoy it with our loved ones.

In this dish, I cooked a very tasty broth for the first time, which I will definitely share in the future.
