¡Hola Chicos!
Como siempre, tengo varios proyectos en mente y este el inicio de uno que llevo semanas pensando. Se trata de una serie de posts en los que les estaré enseñando a elaborar diversos adornos navideños para colgar en donde gustes, todos tejidos a crochet.
Adoro tejer cosas pequeñas pero bien elaboradas. No soy de hacer grandes frazadas o prendas de vestir, aunque espero poder algún día hacer algo similar o más bien, tener la paciencia para hacerlo. Estos caramelos de menta siempre me han parecido lindos y encajan perfecto con lo que me gusta hacer.
Les voy a contar entonces como puedes tejerlos en casa, y si no tienes idea de como comenzar a tejer, te recomiendo que te quedes pendiente de mis siguientes post pues les voy a compartir una guía para aprender a tejer desde cero.

As always, I have several projects in mind and this is the beginning of one that I have been thinking about for weeks. This is a series of posts in which I will be teaching you how to make various Christmas decorations to hang wherever you like, all crocheted.
I adore knitting small but well-made things. I am not into making large blankets or clothing, although I hope that one day I will be able to do something similar or rather, have the patience to do it. These peppermint candies have always seemed cute to me and fit perfectly with what I like to do.
I am going to tell you then how you can knit them at home, and if you have no idea how to start knitting, I recommend that you stay tuned for my next post because I am going to share a guide to learn how to knit from scratch.

Iniciamos haciendo un anillo mágico y sobre él vamos a montar una cadeneta para sellarlo. Esto lo haremos con un hilo color blanco, pues será en centro del caramelo.
We start by making a magic ring and on it we are going to mount a chain to seal it. We will do this with a white thread, as it will be in the center of the candy.
Sobre la cadeneta vamos a tejer dos más y luego tejemos 11 puntos altos sobre el anillo.
On the chain we are going to knit two more and then we knit 11 double crochets on the ring.
Al finalizar se verá algo así, vamos a tirar del cordón pequeño de la base para cerrar ese círculo del centro y se forme el centro del caramelo.
At the end it will look something like this, we are going to pull the small cord at the base to close that circle in the center and form the center of the candy.
Tejemos un punto deslizado para cerrar la vuelta, pero esto lo vamos a hacer con el hilo de color rojo sin desplazar por completo el blanco.
We knit a slip stitch to close the round, but we are going to do this with the red thread without completely displacing the white.
Hacemos 3 cadenetas, esto nos contará como un punto alto. Luego vamos a hacer el cambio de hilo, para ello pasamos el hilo blanco por detrás del rojo y tejemos un punto alto sobre la misma cadena de base.
We chain 3, this will count as a high point. Then we are going to make the change of thread, for this we pass the white thread behind the red one and we knit a high stitch on the same base chain.
Tejeremos entonces dos puntos altos por cada cadena de base para hacer los aumentos, y vamos a ir intercambiando los hilos por cada punto alto, colocando siempre el hilo que vamos a usar por detrás del otro.
We will then knit two double crochets for each base chain to make the increases, and we will be exchanging the threads for each double crochet, always placing the thread that we are going to use behind the other.
Llegamos al final de la vuelta, ahora tejeremos un punto deslizado con el hilo rojo, ya que lo utilizaremos hasta acá. Cortamos y comenzaremos ahora por los costados del caramelo.
We reached the end of the round, now we will knit a slip stitch with the red thread, since we will use it up to here. We cut and we will now start with the sides of the candy.
Tomamos el hilo rojo del principio y el final y hacemos un pequeño nudo por la parte de atrás, cortamos los excedentes.
Iniciamos la vuelta con el hilo blanco haciendo 5 cadenetas, luego tejemos 8 puntos altos triples sobre la misma cadena de base para formar uno de los lados.
We take the red thread from the beginning and the end and make a small knot at the back, cut off the excess.
We start the round with the white thread by making 5 chains, then we knit 8 triple treble crochets on the same base chain to form one of the sides.
Doblamos a la mitad el caramelo para ubicar el centro del otro costado y hacemos lo mismo que en la vuelta anterior, 5 cadenetas y 8 puntos altos triples. Hacemos un nudo para finalizar y cortamos los excedentes de hilo.
We fold the caramel in half to locate the center of the other side and do the same as in the previous round, chain 5 and 8 triple crochets. We make a knot to finish and cut the excess thread.
Así quedan estos lindos caramelos tejidos, los puedes colocar como adorno en el árbol agregando un cordel, como aplique para un bolso, e incluso se me ocurre que pueda ser un lindo detalle para el cabello de una niña haciendo dos ganchitos, obviamente con unos hilos más finos para que no queden tan grandes. Deja volar tu imaginación. ♥
This is how these cute woven candies are, you can place them as an ornament on the tree by adding a string, as an applique for a bag, and it even occurs to me that it could be a nice detail for a girl's hair by making two hooks, obviously with some threads thinner so they are not too big. Let your imagination fly. ♥
