Sogogi Moo Guk (Korean radish soup with beef) is my comfort food.
When eating this, all I need is just Kimchi.😁

1 handful of beef(I used boneless ribeye), 2 handful of Korean radish, 10 cups of water.

  1. Cut the radish into bite size pieces (1 to 1 1/2-inch square, about 1/4-inch thick).
  2. Cut the scallions into 1 to 1-1/2-inch pieces.
  3. put the beef in a pot of water and boil it for about 20 minutes(between 20 to 30 mins, depending on the size of beef).
  4. Take out the beef from the pot and cut to be easy to eat with scissors. then season with soy sauce for the soup, fish sauce(1Tbsp), minced garlic(1Tbsp), a pinch of black pepper. and set aside.
  5. Add radish and kelp(4x4 in.) to the beef broth and boil for 10 minutes, then remove only the kelp.
  6. Add the seasoned beef to the broth and boil for another 10 minutes, then add green onions. If you want to add some salt to taste, add it.
