Let's talk about this piece today THE AFRICAN PRINT SMOCKED DRESS
Made from 100% cotton Ankara fabric, put together with two different kinds of threads and over 4packets of them, estimated time to complete a dress like this is about 4hours,threads are sown on the fabric line by line with atleast a half inch spacing gap, drafting a pattern for a dress like this is actually really easy but might seem frustrating for beginners but every step to completing one dress is completely worth it.
Common benefits of a dress like this is:
-Its a guarantee that it will be a bodycon dress thereby giving you the perfect fit you want.
-one size fits all depending on how it was cut.
-you can use this dress for atleast 3years.
A smocked dress can be made from materials ranging from chiffon,scuba,cotton or linen but african prints will always be more stylish and it's advicible to go for African prints if you're looking to make your origin known once you step in a room.
