• You should start fighting fire when it is at the early stage.

• Do not panic during a fire out break. This can put under tension and confusion and you may not know what measure to take.

• When fighting fire, ensure the fire doesn't come between you and the escape route. There must always be clear accessibility to the escape route should the fire goes beyond what you can handle or control.

• In a smoky room, you should crawl out of the room and not to run through it otherwise you may get chocked up. At the bottom, you can find some available air to breathe/ inhale.

• Do well to master the location of spot in the house, office, etc. This would enable easy navigation even when the place is smoky or dark.

• When fighting fire with a fire extinguisher, always ensure to attack it from the base. The base is referred to as the source of heat.

• Before you use the first extinguisher, do ensure that everyone is out of the building.
