My day so far.

I was up early today as usual to take our Golden Retriever Puppy Lola for a walk.

Lola loves her early morning walks.... the earlier the better. She is always very excited as I put her harness on. I wish we lived out in the country so she could walk freely ... without a leash.

We have a set pattern for our walk and she pretty much can lead the way. At each intersection she looks up to smile and sometimes nudges for a head scratch or ruffle of the fur.

I think Lola is really loving this partial lock down as we are all at home and she is getting lots of attention.

So we walk along the road and sidewalk and try to move off the path when we see someone else coming to maintain our 6’ distance. Everyone wants to stop and pet Lola and chat. That can be a little frustrating as Lola is very social and would love to stop and chat with everyone she meets.

Today was a beautiful sunny day here in the Northeast (Canada) the temperature is moderating and it is cool in the mornings and evenings... around 15 Celsius. Which is perfect for me.

Lola was born January 2019 so she is a real winter puppy, she loves the snow and colder weather. This summer was difficult since it was so hot every day.

This morning we walked to the park to see the sun rise. There was no one else there so I was able to take her off leash. There is a toboggan hill at the park and we run up and down that a few times too.

We were home by 7:00 am and I made coffee and Lola’s breakfast. Then it was time to do a little work and check out Blurt where I found this new #ulog-contest ... so here I am.

How does my morning walk with Lola talk about Who I am ?

Well until Lola came along I was afraid of dogs. My wife and daughter always wanted a puppy and my son and I resisted, for years.... Now, after having Lola for about a year and a half my son and I have fallen in love with Lola and spend as much time as we can with her. Lola is a big part of our lives and she has helped us all in this extended Quarantine. She is teaching us so much, and we are all getting a lot more exercise. She is keeping us all healthy and happy.

And .... here She is again .... ready for another Walk.

Hahaha very special and simplistic. I was late to it. Inspirational too. In my case, i don't see sunlight and rarely i have taken walks or played in years and who knows, perhaps a loving dog will help, in every way. All inspirational and beautiful. Thank you for your entry.

Thanks. Much appreciated. Yes, I try to keep my life as simple as possible. Life is better that way. As Henri David Thoreau says “ Simplify, Simplify ,...” https://amzn.to/3lLKUNJ
