Don't be shocked if you ever attend a family event and I'm in the playroom with all the tiny kids. The fun is over there! Being around children inspires me enormously because there is something extremely true and sincere about their innocence. Maybe it's because I never had the chance to truly be a kid in my own upbringing. Or perhaps it's because I truly don't want to get older, or perhaps it's because I do think that dreams can come true. My four darling young nieces, who range in age from eight months to five years, provide me a lot of happiness, laughter, love, and inspiration. Being around them teaches me a ton.
Although I also adore youngsters, the elderly, and many other aspects of life in general, children hold a very unique place in my heart. As you may know, 2014 is the year I will put adore in all I do. I'm going to have one soon, or I could adopt a child that needs a home where there is love and care. But for the time being, I'd want to share with you some of the numerous reasons I like being around kids. They make me feel good, appreciated, and free to express myself without worrying about being criticized. In addition, they show me a lot of care and attention. And it helps me forget about my troubles and tensions.
Here are the thirteen reasons I appreciate kids and enjoy spending time with them.
They are forthright and unafraid to voice their emotions.
They like discovering and trying new things.
They are adept at having fun.
They don't hesitate to weep or express their bad feelings.
They are bold and do not fear shocks or the unexpected; in fact, they like them!
They have faith in God, the efficacy of prayer, and the reality of dreams.
They like and welcome change.
They lack the viewpoints and judgment that some of us grownups do.
They forgive readily and don't struggle to express "I'm sorry."
Instead of making enemies, they choose to make friends.
Being around kids is extremely pleasant since they do not worry as much as some adults I know.
They pursue their goals and don't take no for an answer because they are tenacious and don't fear rejection. They will keep requesting things from you until you agree.
The fact that they are loving and won't hesitate to tell you "I love you" just to make you happy is what matters most to me, as verbal expression of love is my second love language after physical contact.
