What does recovery mean?
Instead of becoming untouchable or losing the ability to feel, for me, becoming better means becoming stronger. Being in recovery entails being aware that something bothers you but no longer having an impact on your outlook, day, or life. As a result, you are not compelled to cuddle up in a ball under your cover. Recovery is the understanding that challenges are a part of life and that it's okay because you deal with them cheerfully. When you stop exercising because you want to look good in pictures and start exercising for your health, you are recovering.
Recovering today includes getting rid of harmful people, even in families. The ability to cease looking for validation for your behavior is recovery. Recovery is making sure you're happy. Your photos are not filtered during recovery. You are healing when you respect your time. Being in recovery entails improving upon your previous self.
Recovery entails making mistakes and, rather than regretting them, learning from them. It also involves healing a wound and refraining from picking at the scabs.as a form of practice. Recovery is the advancement you make after failing, like in this image.
It had a small tear in it, and I had been hurt when I tore it, but I knew I could still fix it. Sometimes it's not necessary to completely destroy an artwork. It only needs a minor modification, like the gradient of the sky I taped behind, to be perfect. Recovery is being afraid but ultimately able to move—not being perfect.
Even if life is beautiful and challenges are inevitable, we can always improve by reflecting on our mistakes.
(This blog is a good illustration of how words can truly come from the heart.)
