Follow your conscience and do what is right.

We encounter different lifestyles in a world where information is more readily available. Nowadays, you can open YouTube and observe gluttony in action. In the past, you could watch someone eating by just going to any restaurant. These days, it's possible to witness how harsh divorce agreements may be without even going to court. You get to witness glimpses of people's lives that they choose to open up to you. They wish to demonstrate to you why their life is superior to yours. Actually, though, your life is just as good as theirs. You just don't recognize it.

There is an innate desire to succeed early in life, just like those who did. We pondered how they managed to achieve perfection, beauty, happiness, wealth, and success. We hope that by following their example at every turn and documenting their life, we will eventually become just like them. Then, a year and two years later, we're still not wealthy, not attractive enough, and not content. We started to wonder what went wrong eventually.

We started doubting everything, even our self-worth and self-control. Up until we decide that life isn't worth living. However, it appears that we tend to forget the activities we love doing most. the thing that genuinely brings us joy. Similar to this small tale.

"Why spend much at coffee shop?" Kevin asked his best friend one evening as they were strolling. Consider the possibility of saving $3 to help pay for your trip. Matthew started thinking about his life decisions while he listened quietly. Captured by the utopia he found himself in, he began to regret his daily decisions to frequent the cafés back home.

You're right; if I get enough of them, I can immediately purchase a ticket to Bangkok. He answered, "I could probably spend three months here and there." Matthew stopped visiting the coffee shop after that talk. Sadly, the utopia didn't endure as long as he had anticipated. He was soon compelled to return. Matthew needed to get his studies done. Living in a college town without friends made him feel confined.

Since he stopped using the coffee shop as a social hub, his mental health condition has gotten worse. He preferred solitude above social interaction and was a poor small talker. Occasionally, Matthew would have brief conversations with his three housemates in his compact apartment. Since it was boring and seemed like a tiny prison to him, he never like staying at his apartment. All that was left of him was a tiny table and chair, a floor mattress, a small wardrobe, and a few cushions. Since everything was close by and it was an affordable alternative for him, he stayed.Even though he occasionally needed to leave the house, he remembered, "You can make it at home”.

On the other side, he could only do his task at the coffee shop. The place was made for folks who were completely uninterested in small conversation. He worked over ten hours at three dollars a visit, more than enough to cover his allowance for the month. It was his opportunity to see people without having a conversation with them. Seeing people and their ways was what he preferred to do anyhow. Nevertheless, Matthew avoided leaving his apartment because of Kevin and the social media messages he saw about how success comes from working hard and making sacrifices. He went outside only when absolutely necessary.

Kevin was unable to be seen or heard, and his emotional state continued to worsen. He no longer knew most of the folks he formerly did. Even now, Matthew would not want to venture outside. He was delusional and unyielding. He kept saying, "Going outside is wasting my money," like a crazy man. He had forgotten how enjoyable and productive being outside could be. The coffee shop facilitates his socialization even though he doesn't actually connect with customers. For his general sanity, it was a minor price to pay. Because he had been staring at a boring wall every day for the previous year, his creativity had suffered as a result. His vital force was diminishing. Until he made the decision to eat outside once more, he had no idea what had gone wrong.

He took a time to sit and observe the birds, the traffic, the chattering birds, and the wind all working together harmoniously. The disarray he required. the one who set off the sparks within his mind. The sparks that enabled him to write, think, and solve his own difficulties. He knew that this was it as he sat in that cafe. The necessary response.

It was not his own conscious decision to live in seclusion. Matther was motivated by the views that people he used to know collectively. People told him he wouldn't succeed, so he stopped trying to live his life and pursue the things that fulfilled him. Before making friends and trying to fit in, Matthew was never like this. His friends were the measure of his happiness and success. He eventually came to the realization that he wasn't being himself after that time at the cafe and that the people he had known in the past would never again define him. He would not hear another person's viewpoint now or in the future. Authenticity is a valuable asset in a society when people are doing the same old thing.

The aforementioned tale teaches us to never blindly accept counsel from others. Never forget that even though you have similar goals, your path and theirs are distinct. Act in accordance with your conscience.
