Why It's Vital To Occasionally Become Lost in Life

Have you ever had the epiphany one day that you have absolutely no idea where you are going with your life? I promise you that not knowing exactly how life will turn out is a terrible experience.

That's essentially what the future holds. It's as ambiguous as it gets. Everyone has heard tales of people's lives being changed by events, both positive and negative, and how everything can change in an instant. Indeed, it is impossible to predict what the future will bring.

Despite this, people make every effort to plan as much of the future as they can, which is beneficial because it helps us be ready for any unplanned rainy day.

Because there are an infinite number of possible outcomes, it is normal to feel a little overwhelmed while making plans for such an uncertain future. Therefore, it is not uncommon to occasionally feel lost.

From an evolutionary perspective, it seems that our innate tendency is to anticipate the future to the greatest extent possible, as doing so would increase our chances of surviving. Consequently, you have that sick sensation in your stomach when you realize that you have no idea what to do.

Feeling lost in life, even when everything in your life seems to be going well, is the worst place to be. You know, your life is going well in terms of your profession and connections with the people in it, but nonetheless, there you are, sitting on the couch, feeling completely lost and with your head buried in your chest.

I can't even begin to count how many times I have encountered such a circumstance, and the first thing that usually occurs to me at those moments is whether or not I am going insane. However, I suppose that's just one of life's bittersweet tastes you have to occasionally experience.

As they say, there is always a bright side to everything, and even in the most difficult situations, there can be some good that comes from feeling lost. Perhaps life is simply forcing you to find your purpose.

The Discovery Era

When you're unsure of the proper course of action, what do you do? You begin to weigh your options, correct? Because life must continue in one manner or another. Thus, you begin searching for the appropriate response, and it's precisely at this point that you give yourself permission to learn.

History is evidence of this. The reason so many discoveries and innovations from the past have been made is that their creators were either lost or just forgot about them, but their perseverance ultimately provided the solutions they were looking for.

So, sure, sometimes it's necessary to get lost. If you're afraid you won't find your way back, trust someone who has lost his way so many times I can't even begin to count! In the end, everything works out:)

Greetings😊
