The other day I came across a highly thought-provoking figure that made me stop and think. It seems that humans make over 35,000 judgments per day! That is an absurd amount of decisions to make in one day.

It doesn't matter if that figure is correct or not. The truth is that we truly do have a lot of choices to make between the times we get out of bed in the morning and when we go to bed.

There are a lot of things on our minds, ranging from minor choices like what to eat to major ones like how to go forward in achieving our objectives.

The most absurd thing is that even seemingly insignificant choices can have far-reaching consequences down the road. Do you know what the butterfly effect is? That is precisely the subject of my discussion.

Decisions Shape Who You Are I've always held the opinion that your current self is the culmination of all the choices you've made in the past. You can never be sure of the impact of a single decision you make. It's only in retrospect that you realize this, and when you make the connections, it's almost enlightening.

Everyone has heard of or watched films of people escaping death just by being in the right place at the right time. They would have perished if they had chosen to walk a bit quicker or a bit slower, indeed! How absurd is that?

Yes, I am aware. I know I'm going into far too much detail, but you get the idea. Our decisions define who we are. Once you understand this, you won't waste any time in wasting your life on meaningless pursuits.

Your entire energy would be directed toward achieving your objectives. We all have goals and objectives, and it is our responsibility to pursue them. Make the decision today to keep going until you succeed. It is up to you to CHOOSE to succeed and be content. Take it on.
