I'll give Rampage 4.5 out of 5 stars. Films that incorporate video games have a curse of not reaching a certain target audience. A movie about three enormous creatures—a crocodile, a gorilla, and a grey wolf—wreaking havoc on a metropolis. Therefore, I didn't anticipate an Oscar-winning script with excellent dialogue, a complex plot, or logical character decisions.
Three canisters fall to Earth as a result of a science experiment gone awry in space, which sets the stage for the plot. Davis Dwayne Johnson, a primatologist, discovers that George, one of his gorilla friends, has an infection and has grown significantly. After he became agitated and fled the zoo. George is apprehended by federal agent Harvey Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who attempts to transport him to a safer location.
However, watching three enormous animals decimate a city is undoubtedly a form of escape in this movie. Even as the military makes every effort to stop them. Additionally, Davis and Dr. Kate Naomie Harris are attempting to come up with a plan to bring George back while also getting the big gorilla to stop the other two creatures. If you either love his bold, strong reactions or the action scenes where he takes on the impossibly difficult. Naomie Harris felt comfortable being Davis' sidekick.
Malin Akerman and Jake Lacy portray cliched corporate villains who seek to conduct lethal experiments for their own personal benefit.
It is large, loud, and jam-packed with action. From a thrilling scene in which mercenaries battle a big wolf in the forest through George's flight to safety, the action is nonstop. And the finale of the last half-hour, which features three demons doing havoc. There is also some amusing humor. Additionally, the friendship between George and Davis seeks to create an emotional bond with the gorilla so that you will root for the creature.
Rampage is an excellent movie all around. Awesome visual effects have been used. The characters are enjoyable. The plot and idea are exactly what you would expect from a big comedy about monsters wreaking havoc. Kudos if you've seen the movie, and if not, I urge you to.
