I came across a beauty product today online titled Dragon's Blood Instant Eye Lift Balm and I was shocked. I assumed the skincare site was playing tricks on me until I resorted to Google to search it out.

My research was fruitful and I discovered that Dragon's blood is real and exists!

You may wonder —but the dragon creature is a myth, no living human being has seen one before, how can I claim that the blood exists and is very beneficial to the human body?

Dragon's blood does not refer to the blood of the large, mythical creature but rather to a plant-based ingredient extracted from the Croton Lechleri tree. This ingredient is a resin oil, an essential oil like elemi, frankincense, myrrh, and galbanum and it is dark red in colour, hence the name —Dragon's blood.

According to my research, this resin oil is native to the Chinese and used traditionally to treat injuries. This oil is very beneficial to the human body as it aids blood circulation and reduces inflammation. Due to its antibacterial and antioxidant properties, it has a rejuvenating effect on the skin.

It has become a popular ingredient that beauty and skincare companies add to their products and the sales have increased maximally recently.

One thing about the skincare industry is that research is carried out daily for ways to improve the care of the human body. So it's not surprising to see the release of products containing ingredients that have been traditionally used to cure the body.

It's like a return back to the old ways but in a refined and modernized way. The bottom line, the herbs and vegetables around us are very much beneficial to our bodies.

So if you require skincare products to address inflammation or skin bacteria, you can get a product with Dragon's blood in it.

Happy weekend, everyone and thank you for visiting my blog.
