Why be afraid?

Fear is continually attacking our thoughts and emotions. If fear is let unbridled, it can drive our imagination into a state of panic. Even though only a small percentage of our worries come true, we frequently give our anxieties a lot of attention. We become insane when fear consumes us. Our fear of death may be a threat to our religion. Our dread of failing could be what pushes us toward control. Maybe the fear of losing one's job is the self-fulfilling prophecy. But our concerns are not exclusive to us.

Jesus is with us in our valleys. He doesn't leave us in the valley, even if He doesn't take us out of it. Christ goes with us down the valley of uncertainty. Jesus travels with us as we pass through the transitional valley. Because a shadow turns into a light, Christ is present to guide us. Trust conquers fear.

Pain can lead to feelings of insecurity and confusion. We never give up on God in spite of the agony that consumes our souls. We read the Psalms frequently, where David rightly raises his soul to the Lord despite sometimes drowning in doubt. Alone is not the best place for someone to manage their suffering. With the assistance of God and the prayers of others, we manage to survive.

Therefore, seek comfort from Christ. Using His rod and staff, He draws us close. He mends our damaged hearts with a gentle touch. Instead of giving up on us when we stray like lost sheep, He comes after us. In actuality, love isn't passive. Connection, comfort, and contact are made. Love makes it possible for us to find significance in a nonsensical situation. The Holy Spirit can provide clarity in our confusion. So we feed the truth into our soul to chase away our fears. Faith in the Lord conquers fear!
