FIT BODY🏋🏽‍♀️ , FIT MIND🧘🏽‍♀️ Episode 2

In my previous episode, I gave a brief introduction of how fit body can lead to fit mind.

On this episode, I will be opening to us three(3) out of fifteen (15) ways we can keep our body fit.

Did I mention, these are my little secrets to keeping fit?😉

To me, Wellness simply means being Physically, emotionally and spiritually at alert. There should be a change in your life style, to stay at your best through healthy choices, to keep fit and trim.

  1. EAT RIGHT
    Go for healthier choices; Fruits, Vegetables, lean meat and fish. Choose white meat over red meat. It is best to have it grilled, roasted or steamed rather than fried because of the saturated fats contained in oil.
    When eating eggs, have it boiled. Eat the egg whites only because it contains zero cholesterol.
    When eating bread 🍞, opt for wheat bread over white bread because it has a low glycemic index.
    When brown rice is not available, reduce the amount of white rice intake for better glucose control.
    Never ever skip BREAKFAST that is the most important meal of the day.
    Choose oatmeal for those who are trying to maintain their blood pressure, as much as possible, avoid salty food. Sodium can trigger fluctuations in blood pressure.

  1. DRINK MILK
    Milk is not just for children. Try to drink milk at least two glasses everyday to supplement your calcium. As your body ages, the bones become weak and we might be at risk of osteoporosis(A condition in which bones become weak and brittle). Milk helps alot in providing the necessary calcium.

  1. MINIMIZE SWEETS AS DESERT
    For those that have sweet tooth or are chocolate 🍫 lovers, go for the dark chocolate when the craving takes over. However, instead of ice-cream and cakes🍰, it is best to eat fresh fruits. Just give yourself a break to indulge at least once a week.
