Those afflicted with leprosy were abandoned by society at the very time when they needed compassion and help the most, causing them to be alienated.

Feeling the embrace of a healthy person was a contrast to their previous pain, transitioning from discomfort to pure joy. Even more impressive was the gratitude expressed by the foreigner, who had already experienced rejection twice before. Love not only appreciates receiving a gift, but also expresses gratitude towards the person who gave it.
Are you filled with overwhelming gratitude, praise, and thanksgiving after experiencing Christ's profound purification of your soul? The more you recognize the repugnance of sin and its destructive impact on your connection with God, the more you feel forgiven, lifting you up in greater adoration and affection.
