Before I go into depth about why I believe abortion should be legalized, I must first present some key facts. Abortion, in its most basic form, is an induced miscarriage or the purposeful termination of a human pregnancy, which is typically performed within the first few weeks of pregnancy. It is also crucial to note that abortion is absolutely safe unless there is an underlying issue or if it is not performed correctly by a medical professional.
There are two main points of contention in the abortion debate. Most individuals agree that abortion is completely wrong and terrible. The second argument advanced by proponents of abortion declares abortion to be a woman's right and that it is ethical.
To be quite honest, I am convinced one of the major reasons abortion appears unethical and incorrect in some people's eyes is that they base their decisions on religious values. The two largest religious communities (Christians and Muslims) frown on abortion, and this prejudiced judgment is carried into society by those people who frown on abortion, without taking into account persons who do not follow their religious standards. The world is a public environment, and we should not base our judgments solely on our religious convictions.
The reality is that when religious views are removed from the discussion, these individuals have no compelling reason to oppose abortion.
Also, when discussing abortion, it is important to remember that, while we do not want to interfere with the unborn child, we do not want to disregard the reality that the WOMAN'S RIGHT TO LIFE as well as other related rights are also under threat. You don't want to see a 14-year-old's goals and dreams endangered because of a child, even if there wasn't mutual consent.
The reality is that before deciding to get an abortion, she should have thought about it again. Abortion allows people to right their previous mistakes, start over, and realign their lives into what they would like them to be.
Another important argument used by those opposed to abortion is that there is no justification for it. If the mother is uninterested in the child, she can always leave the infant in the care of an orphanage. However, not everyone would be happy with this option. What if the child is the outcome of a rape case? When the mother sees the infant, how do you expect her to feel? It will almost certainly bring back memories for her. Have you also considered this child's mental health? What do you think the child's reaction will be if they are told they are the result of rape or an unintended pregnancy - a mistake? That's going to be difficult.
A further reality is that whether abortion is authorized or not, individuals will still go into it, whether from a licensed doctor or from a quack medical expert, which can endanger their lives. Don't you think abortion should be allowed for a variety of reasons, including making life easier for everyone and reducing the number of women who will have to knock on heaven's gate due to an unprofessional abortion?
To be honest, if I had my way, I believe abortion should be lawful and even free in all countries. What are your opinion on this?
