Going Back to Minimalism

I started living a minimalist lifestyle three years ago. I am limited to discussing the advantages of this lifestyle, not its drawbacks. Being the person I am today has really benefited from it, yet lately, I became aware of something.

Since minimalism isn't something I'm naturally good at, I have a lot of difficulty sticking with it. In terms of my relationship with objects, I continue to be drawn to purchase them and get attached to them. Maintaining attentive habits is still something I struggle with. The main issue I have with my everyday routine is mindfulness and minimalism. Even with all of my free time right now, there are still moments when I struggle to know how to spend it.

I recently came to the realization that my attentive habits, which I used to practice, are disintegrating. I no longer keep a gratitude notebook, take time for myself, or value life. Rather of adding much worth to my life, I am squandering too much time on something. I truly want to learn from my past self in order to become more content rather than jaded.

One way I'm relearning minimalism is by going through some of my older entries. I was so enthused about the lifestyle that I wanted to incorporate it into every part of my existence. As it happens, some prove to be more difficult than the others. This won't stop me from relearning minimalism, though.
