Travel Diaries - The Red, White & Black Beaches of Santorini

in blurttravel •  4 years ago

Coming back to my travel diaries, today I want to share some memories from my trip to Greece.
Greece is a very beautiful place historically there are many sights to visits as well as the most famous beaches you get to see here. Whether it is Athens or Mykonos or Santorini or any other part of Greece, each one is unique in it's own way.

We were for 2 days in Santorini and we had a wonderful time here, spending time at the beach as well as visiting Fira and the other main attraction here was the open air theater.

So today I want to share pictures only of the Beaches. The 3 different beaches of Santorini. They are all unique as they all have different color sand. The Red, White and Black sand beaches, because of its volcanic landscapes they get these different colors. While Red and White are narrow strip beaches, the black one Kamari beach is a bigger one.

This is the Kamari Beach. We had booked our hotel at this beach side. This is one of the bigger beach in Santorini and also has a lot of shops and restaurants by the beach side. I managed to do some local shopping in this place.

This is the Red Beach, this one is a small beach and I found it the most crowded in comparison with the others. From the Fira bus stop one needs to walk to this beach which is around a 15 to 20 minutes walk.

And then the white beach. I found this one the most beautiful one and it was not very crowded also. I loved the view when we were approaching to this one.

Hope you all enjoyed the pictures. Greece is one of the most beautiful place that I have visited and if I get an opportunity, I will surely visit it again.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

I've been to Santorini. Strange place - blessed with fertile volcanic soil... and cursed with hardly any rain!

I thought the vineyard was a cabbage patch ;-) Even the Vino Santo was on the dry side.

Did you swim by the thermal vents?

No we did not swim by the thermal vents. We were here for 2 days and spent most of our time at the beaches and Fira. We saw the vineyards in the passing, they were not very impressive so we did not spend time there. Overall it was a good trip.
