Survey : Do you have problems with wearing a Mask ?

I wear a mask If I have to go into a store or any building. I have allergies so I am sneezing and coughing and my eyes are watering all the time..... I wear a mask so that people don’t freak out when I sneeze and cough.

For the most part I am staying home or going on hikes, walks, kayaks, boat rides with just my wife and kids and no one else .... We don’t wear masks when we are outdoors, and Far away from people. ....

A sneeze can travel 200’ .... I have no problem wearing a mask indoors or if I am going to be in close (6’) proximity to other people.

We are getting almost everything delivered to our house with Amazon.ca

Sorry to hear about your allergies.
For me, I don't have any problem wearing a mask because I've never wore one :)

Although it's legally mandatory here, who follow all the rules! I'm an anarchist ...lol!

Yeah .... I have allergies all year round, except maybe when it’s -30 Celsius out ... but I have dust allergies so I’m sneezing and coughing in winter too.

I'm allergic too but may be not as much severe. Try to increase the intake of citrus fruits and expose yourself to ample sunlight for Vit. D to increase overall immunity. May be, it would help in long term.

Yes. I try to use all natural all organic methods, but sometimes the air is filled with pollen, dandelion fluff, mould .... you name it.

I wear mine. I dont see a downside.

I wear mine too. But I definitely want to get the Kylo Ren Mask

Do you use your Steem keys for Blurt?

  ·  4 years ago  ·   (edited)

Yep. You need to pay small amounts of blurt for everything you do here on Blurt ( keeps spammers and scammers away) ... so you will need some liquid blurt. I could send you a few blurt so you can try posting if you like. Let me know .... I am slowly converting my old Steem and Hive to Liquid Blurt on Https://Hive-Engine.com

Thanks :) I see it says it powers up 100%. So every so often will have to power down to post/comment, right?

Nah.... I just convert my old Hive to Blurt on Hive-Engine and send to my Blurt wallet.

There are no Blurt backed dollars either so yes .... All your rewards go to Blurt power for now .... the next Hardfork will pay out some liquid blurt so people don’t have to power down.

Ah ok now that makes sense. Thank you.

If worn for a long time, I am uncomfortable with it

Yeah .... I can last about 20 minutes ....

Yes. I am for the CHOICE to wear one. I tried to comply when going to grocery store and shit, but after 5 months I have stopped. I am willing to take my chances without one.

Yeah ... I find it hard to breath with one so we have found ways to have almost everything delivered to the House.

You know that you are not wearing them for your protection, right?
Are you still wearing pants, shirts, and shoes?
They can be very uncomfortable when they don't fit right. The same with masks. Get one that fits and there is no problem.

Or just order everything in and avoid the humans.

hahaha - avoiding humans is often a good idea lol

Going outside, shopping we wear a mask, at first it was really hard, felt like fainting, suffocating.

I can't wear a mask for more than 20 minutes or so. No idea how kids are doing this in School all day.

  ·  4 years ago  ·   (edited)

Our kids have to wear them even when doing pe, the only time they can take them off when eating, other wise they have to ask permission to take it off or drink during school.

Masks during PE is asking for trouble. My kids teacher tired to tell them that and I put an end to that.

That is ridiculous. I did a 10 mile hike with a mask on - and it was a hot day. Get the right mask and there is no trouble.

Better yet.... just avoid the humans. You can go years without ever coming within 100’ of a human.

If we are meant to have a mask we would be born with one. If you scared of a virus stay home. We deal with viruses every day much worse that covid 19

You are so funny! Are you wearing clothing? I don't think anyone is born with shirts and pants either. At least my babies weren't

I am very much against wearing a mask aka muzzle. Covid is a joke not saying it ain't deadly but we can't fear a dam virus that has such a small chance to kill or even infect you.

It is all government control and making way for a new world order that we do not want. Look at the states it is breaking down and covid started it not the virus but the ideas of government control.

Yeah, when we saw what they were going to make kids do With masks and social distancing, and bubbles and cohorts We decided the kids would do virtual online learning. They are loving it so far. We make sure we do lots of outings after school and weekends....

looks like that nobody you love died. I wonder if you would say why didn't the government do something if you or yours would be sick...

Bigger question .... Why are they sending kids to schools ?

Agreed. I homeschooled my kids and we had a great time - and they turned into lovely adults.

If this virus is what they say it is not any deadly than the flu and guess what humans deal with the flu every year for thousands of years.

This virus is not Ebola. This is all become government control we don't need masks or vaccines we need Hurd immunity

I’m ok with staying home for the next few years .... enjoying time with my family and
Learning how to earn a living here on Blurt.

don't know where you get your facts from. In my region, when we hit 64 flu death in one year, everyone went crazy. Since March, we are almost at 800 death - that is a lot more deadly than the regular flu.
And you are right. It is not Ebola. It spreads much easier than ebola...

I don't mind wearing a mask - and wished more people would do it.
I don't go out much either. Once a month, I order stables from a co-op, eat from the garden and pantry, and have gone to Costco twice since March.
I don't wear a mask in my backyard, but have started to wear one when I am in my front yard since people come right up to me to talk.
I wear clthing to cover my body, a hat when the sun is shining, and see the mask as just nother useful piece of outer wear.

Just avoid the humans. Don’t go near them.

Just browsing through the comments, i see that lots of people make the excuse that the mask in uncomfortable.
I find this fascinating. Yes, there are masks that are uncomfortable - and then, there are cuts or kinds that are very uncomfortable. I had some I barely could breath in - wrong material, too close to my nose and mouth - so, I got a different one.
I bet that nobody that complains about the mask being uncomfortable - but not looking for a different kind, would keep wearing shoes that don't fit and hurt their feet.
Many people have for many years worked with masks on all day long - and they all were able to breath and keep living a great life and do their job. I have little respect for people that don't wear a mask because it is uncomfortable!
Even in schools or during PE.
We have over 7 million known infected people and well over 200,000 death. I know people that have lost 15 family members.
The fastest rising group of infected are children - and we don't know what the long term impacts of this thing are. All that are not wearing masks because it is uncomfortable are putting those (all) children at risk. Maybe now would be a good time to stop being so freaking selfish.

I don’t think we should be sending kids to school if we are into a second wave. It’s easy enough for kids to do school from home.

It’s kind of hypocritical to tell people they can’t go in a building or a restaurant with over 50 people yet we are sending thousands of kids into schools.

Agreed. I have been a homeschooler. That said, there are kids that have terrible abusive home situations and school is the only safe place they have...
