I hope all the Christians here went to church today? Well, I did and I am thankful for worshipping and fellowshipping with my fellow brethren today.
It was a great and awesome time in the house of God.
I wanna share the portion of the scripture that was shared today.
And that was from John 15:1-7
John.15.1 - I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
John.15.2 - Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
John.15.3 - Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
John.15.4 - Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
John.15.5 - I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
John.15.6 - If a man abides not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
John.15.7 - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Jesus Christ is the Vine and we are the branches. And it is written that if the branches bear no fruits then it would be cut off from the vine.
The vine provides life to the branches and if the branches are detached from the vine then it has no life again.
This Bible portion illustrates our life in Jesus Christ. As children of God, followers of Christ, we are to bear more fruits. Because if we don't then we will be cut off from the vine which is Jesus Christ.
And the only way to bear more fruits so as not to be cut off from the vine (Jesus Christ) is to abide in Him. When you abide in Christ he alone will help you to bear more fruits.
When once you leave the vine then you won't be fruitful and you will be cut off.
How is your Christian life?
Are you still connected with Jesus Christ?
Are you abiding in him?
If you want to bear fruits then you need to abide in Christ. Be attached to the vine.
I pray these words will have a place in our hearts and we will abide in our Lord Jesus Christ Amen.
