Thinking back to the memory lane today while on my bed, I realized the mistakes I made while I was younger, what I should have done back then, and every other thing that involved my past, most especially my financial aspect.
How I would have made so many choices that would have helped me today not to remain at the mercies of others most especially those who trample on my self-esteem just because they feel I am at their mercies financially and thinking back to it, I realized that indeed they were right, they were right to throw words at me just because I was at their mercy, they were right to see that I can't bring anything to the table because I made a choice, they were right to look down on my worth because I decided to let them do that.
There and then, I realized that indeed, we always have a choice. Yeah, you heard me right, we've got two choices, and it's either to fight till the end or we stay stuck up in one corner till we die. In life, we've got the freedom of choice and that is the most important thing we've all got and as much, it is left for every one of us living to choose out of the two options for ourselves. What is it going to be?
There are no free passes in life, it's either we are fighting to survive or we stay stuck up in one corner and accept whatever fate brings to our plate but I hope we don't end up blaming God for choosing to be weak and not making the right choices.
There are no free passes in life that say all we have to do is show up and that's good enough because just showing up and not doing anything for ourselves isn't good enough and life will not go slow with anyone who decides to go slow, life won't give up because someone decides to give up, it keeps on throwing at us what it wishes to throw at us and it is in our place to choose what we want life to throw at us or how or what we choose to do when life throws at us challenges and situations that requires our critical thinking.
Are we going to choose to just shrink aside, sit down and watch life dish at us what it wishes, or are we going to get on our feet and fight till we are sure, of something betters?
There are no free passes in life that say we just have to stay stuck, neither are there any free passes that say we don't have to work all we've got to do Is talk because life can hit you any time.
We have a choice to not let the world define how we want to rule our world, we have a choice to not let the world define one more moment of our lives, we have a choice to either stand up and fight for ourselves or remain where we are till the day we give up the ghost.
We can choose to give up, we can choose to let the world and all of its people define our future and we can also choose to shrink back into our shells and take a nap till we are lost out of the world.
We can also choose to fight for ourselves and do something positive with all the negativity and hurt within us. The choice is still ours to make. Choose never to settle for less and one day, you will look back, smile, and be grateful that you choose never to give up even though you had such an option.
