Yesterday at midnight, a friend told me that I could participate in this contest and I only had these hours to finish a logo for @blurtstory, since I did not know what she did and when I saw that it was literature content, I decided to take a risk.

CHOICING COLORS

When reviewing the things I saw in the @blurtstory account, I found publications from a library, where thousands of books lived and immediately the colors that I would use were evident.

These are earth tones, they are all that the oldest books evoke, where the leaves smell like cedar and the ink trains each letter.

FAST STEP BY STEP

BACKGROUND

To divide a circle into 4 equal parts, I added the colors that I had chosen to each of the parts, so as not to leave it only a base color.

WATERMARK

To make a watermark I put the name of the project and applied the opacity to 20% so that it would be noticeable when the image was enlarged.

I had to take the airbrush and change the tonality of the area with the black background and the brown one because otherwise it would not be read clearly, for that I had to use the cut-out layer.

LETTERS

Since the name of the project is BlurtStory, I decided to use the initials B and S for this logo.

I changed the border and padding depending on the box it was located in to make each letter stand out.

CENTRAL PICTURE

I needed a focal point in design and decided to use a pencil, which represents literature. At the top point of the pencil I placed a magnifying glass because they are looking for talent on this platform.

The eye that I placed in the magnifying glass is part of the visual field that will guide the search for quality content.

To finish, it seemed fair to add a pencil stroke to give fluidity to the creation in words.
