There is a saying that danger actually comes from all directions.
I'm not sure how it goes to other peoples but I've seen it on myself that when danger comes to me, it tries to come from all directions. After I lost my last job, I started writing content on hive and I'm trying to survive for some months with the income that I get from hive, yeah I'm not leading a rich life but I'm able to survive with this. And for that, I definitely need a computer.
The computer that I'm using for more than a year... that's not mine. I borrowed the CPU from a close friend and I bought other accessories (eg. monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.) and tried to made a decent setup for me although it was not that decent to me as I really needed a fast computer I tried to cope up with it and you know what? Coping up with what you have is not everyone's mug of coffee. I was doing fine till... till that day when I and my wife were watching a movie and suddenly the computer stopped responding in the middle of nothing, actually. I tried something out so that it reopens but... it didn't... it just didn't.
Now, that's a danger for me as I don't/ can't save a lot of money all the time to get a new PC, or sometimes I don't keep the amount for the repairing as well.
That's Danger No: 01.
An uncle... the father of one of my closest friends is talking about recruiting me to the office where he is in charge of a big team. That night... suddenly that uncle called me over the phone and asked me to meet him as soon as possible and I kinda rushed to him. He was making sure that I'm okay with the role and salary that I'm getting. I said, "Yeah, uncle I'm so okay with it as I'm getting a decent salary, a nice office, and some new skills are on the way." Then he replied, "Ok, I'm gonna try to get the approval of upper-level boss then and we should be able to recruit you very soon."
I was like... "Yeah, okay, thank you... blah blah blah.
Then uncle asks me where he can do some print out at a cheaper rate and I told him that there's someone I know with a small shop who can give me a printout at the cheapest rate. Then that uncle took me to that place... yeah, he took me there :D. Then when I was gonna print his files, I've seen some mistakes and the border of all those pages seemed so bad so I told him to give me the files so that I can do some work on that and I told him that I was gonna give him the printout the following day as I knew my computer was gonna be okay the next day morning.
It was kind of like a pre-interview for me to deliver it on time so I called the computer doc over the phone and I got to know that to fix my computer... he needs more time. Which means I was not getting the computer back the next day as well.
Now That's Danger No: 02.
The next morning came... I got to get up at around 7 am when my mom was leaving for her office... I normally go back to sleep after I forbid my mom and it's a daily routine for me nowadays. That day... after my mom left, I laid down on the bed and I just opened my mobile discord app to see if someone missed me or what. Then I really got surprised getting a nice message from someone saying, "Hey....... Some people have asked if your art is created by you by hand or through the use of a filter."
Do you know what that means? That means I'm gonna show some of my works or a fresh one with video footage showing how I create the digital portraits BUT... I didn't have my computer, man.
So, I replied and I did let the person know that I'll show him how I do these arts as soon as I get my computer back.
He gave me time with a nice message and he also kinda did let me know that there's nothing to worry about but still... that's a danger to me until I provide my proof of works.
That's Danger No: 03.
Do you understand now why I've used that sentence as the title here? Yeah, you should.
BTW... I've got the computer fixed but didn't carry it back to my place... I gave it back to the owner of the computer but I kept the hard drive which I own myself. And then I bought a new CPU (with some fresh and some old parts) at a lower price and I didn't have to pay the full amount as the shopkeeper knows me. Then I came back to my place with the new computer (new to me, of course), then I've finished the work that my uncle gave to do and I've digitized a new portrait today and also recorded my desktop screen while I was doing that so that I may be able to publish it in 3speak which will provide my proof of works to everyone. Will do that tonight... soon.
