This is my Confrontational Story from Several weeks ago, while visiting my local Supermarket and nearby Park Lake. I now feel the need to RANT about the woman who I spoke to about her child's bad behavior! A very Confrontational event indeed!
Firstly, I walk round the lake on a concrete footpath, feeding some ducks and avoiding any Dogs that are not on a lead. I decided to sit on a wooden bench for a bit and just chill ~ Except! I'm confronted with a pile of used beer cans and Pizza boxes spread out all along the bench 😠 Which had obviously just been left there from the previous night's feast by a small group of lazy slobs!
So, before I can even sit down, I have to gather up all this rubbish and deposit it in the "Rubbish Bin", which is literally right next to the bench 😡
Ok! I stop now ⌛️ just for a second ⏳ before I continue on ranting... and show you a nice view of what my countryside normally looks like below 👀

So now on with my Story ~ RANT!
After sitting on the bench for a while, and still feeling a bit irritated, but a bit calmer than I was! I then noticed a woman walking next to her child along the footpath. I clearly saw the Mother give her child some kind of chocolate bar or sweet maybe 🍬🍫🍭
Then as I watched with astonishment, as the child simply discarded the empty wrapper on the ground right in front of me 😲 without even looking for a bin or having a single thought of giving the wrapper back to her Mother.
I could not resist speaking to the child saying: "There is a bin just there (pointing to the large Rubbish bin) next to the bench! The child looked in my direction, but said nothing, and slowly continued walking & eating.
So I shouted as her loudly this time: "Please pick up your empty wrapper and put it in the bin please!" Still I was ignored 😡 by the child.
This time though, I got her Mother's FULL attention, but instead of her saying to the child: "please do as the man asked, and don't drop your litter!".
The Mother just starred as me saying: "Don't shout at my child", then proceeded to pick up the wrapper and put it in the bin herself. She then shouted to me: "It's just a wrapper", and walked off with her child. I said NOTHING more 😔
- So I ask you all ❓
- What example does this give to the child ❓
- That it's Okay to just drop litter❓
Or do we now live in a society that just does not care anything about teaching our children not to DROP LITTER ⁉️
Is this the future view of our countryside below ⁉️ A really horrible thought 🤔 in my opinion!

My guess is the mother doesn't want to be accountable for her Childs actions, and is also teaching her child to not be accountable as she didn't correct them on the spot but instead herself throwing the wrapper away. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Yes, exactly right @agr8uzz 👍
An unbelievable response from the Mother , disappointing actions indeed! 😞
I do believe that teaching our kids such behaviors could give a better generation, responsible and respective!
Yes, Very true 👍
Let's hope so...
