And for the first time, Delhi got a taste of reaching the IPL final by relying on the bowling magic of the Proteas pacer.
In the second qualifier match on Sunday night, Delhi lost 3 wickets and got a huge collection of 169 runs. In reply, Hyderabad lost by 16 runs even after batting. As a result, the trouble of leaving the venue every time with a broken heart is at least removed from Delhi.

Chasing the target, Hyderabad lost Warner's (2) wicket in the second over of the innings. Delhi fast bowler Rabada bowled the Aussie opener. After that, another opener, Priyam Garg (18), who was trying to turn around with Manish Pandey, was bowled and shown the way back by Delhi's Aussie pacer Marcus Stones. In the over of Garg's departure, Pandey (21) also said goodbye to Hyderabad.

Ken Williamson took on the responsibility of guiding Hyderabad under heavy pressure. The hero of the previous match continued to fight with the bat even today. But leaving him alone, Axel Patel fell victim to the devastating Caribbean all-rounder Jason Holder (11). Williamson then added 56 runs with Abdul Samad. Rabada returned to the Delhi camp to relieve the Kiwi captain (6) who was leading the team to victory.

Rabada's real magic was seen in the 19th over. In the previous over, Rashid Khan of Hyderabad hit one four and one six off Delhi spinner Rabichandran Ashwin. 12 runs came in that over. Samad is still at the crease with 28 runs off 14 balls. But when it comes to bowling, Rabada changed all the calculations. Although Samad hit a huge six off the second ball of his over, he caught the next ball off long-on substitute Kimo Paul. Rabada caught Rashid Khan in the next ball. The umpire signaled wide when Rabada bounced the third ball in front of the hat-trick.

Rabada then took the fourth wicket, forcing Srivastava Goswami to give the catch to Stones. Through this he has taken 29 wickets this season. Only Dwayne Bravo has more wickets in one season of IPL. The Caribbean all-rounder set the record in 2013 with 32 wickets. Rabada still has one match (final) in his hands.

Hyderabad can make only 4 in the last over of the innings.

Earlier, Stones and Shekhar Dhawan gave a flying start to Delhi. The two added 6 runs to the opening pair. Stoneys played an innings of 36 off 26 balls, but was bowled by Rashid Khan, but Dhawan picked up the fifth in a flurry of strokes. Though captain Shreyas Iyer left with 21 runs, Dhawan kept the run wheel running with Shimron Hetmeyer. The duo added 52 runs.

Dhawan's bat came off an innings of 7 off 50 balls before being trapped in the leg before by Sadwip Sharma. The Indian left-arm opener smashed the innings into six fours and two sixes. Hetmeyer, who took the storm at the end, remained unbeaten in an innings of 42 off 22 balls.

Stones, who took 36 runs with the bat and 3 wickets with the ball, was selected the best in the match.

Delhi will face Mumbai Indians in the final of the current edition on Monday (November 9) at 8 pm Bangladesh time.
