Douglas Costa officially returns to the Bayern Munich uniform. He was loaned for one season from Juventus. Apart from Costa, Die Roten also got Eric Choupo-Moting. On the closing day of the transfer Bayern moved to complete the loan from Douglas Costa. The Brazilian player joined the Allianz Arena on loan from Juventus for one season until June 2021.

The arrival of Costa was announced by Bayern via the club's official website, Monday night (5/10/2020). This 30-year-old wing is no stranger to Bayern.

He previously defended Bayern when he was brought in from Shaktar Donetsk in the summer of 2015. At that time, he played two seasons with Bayern before being released to Juventus in the summer of 2017.

In his first period defending Bayern, Costa successfully made 77 appearances with 14 goals and 27 assists. He helped Bayern win two Bundesliga titles. Costa admits that he is happy to be back playing for Bayern. He is determined to repeat his previous successes with this Bavarian club.

I quoted Costa from the official website of Bayern Munich. I'm very happy to be playing for FC Bayern again. I'm having fun in Munich with a lot of success and I'm sure we'll win more titles.

Apart from Costa, Bayern also brought in Eric Choupo-Moting on the last day of the transfer market. The Cameroonian player joined a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Choupo-Moting has signed a contract for one season by Bayern until June 2021. With the presence of Costa and Choupo-Moting, Bayern have brought in a total of six players in the transfer market this summer. The other four Bayern recruits are Marc Roca from Espanyol, Alexander Nubel from Schalke, Tangui Nianzou from PSG and Leroy Sane from Manchester City.
