A sports teacher at a school thought of inventing a new game for the students. Whatever you think works! Arranged a structure, gave rules and regulations. This game later became known as volleyball. William G. Morgan invented the game on February 9, 1895.
In the beginning it was called "Mintonet". Volleyball was later renamed. When G. Morgan was thinking of making this game, he wanted to make a game with a tennis net or net, he determined the height of the net to be 6 feet 6 inches above the ground. But he thought of using a ball bigger than tennis as a ball and it must be lighter in weight than a basketball so that the ball can be easily sent over the net to the court on that side. And this is how he started the popular game of volleyball in many ways.
The first volleyball to be played in 1900 was a volleyball of a certain size and weight. Gradually the game became popular worldwide. In 1896, the first volleyball rules were published in the form of legal documents. Until 1930, the game was organized in different countries under different rules and regulations, and people participated in the game through various national and international tournaments. In 1947, the International Volleyball Federation was formed in France with the cooperation and participation of 11 countries. In 1984, volleyball was first included as an indoor game at the Tokyo Olympics, and an international rule and policy was set for the sport.
