Golf is a beloved sport that is played and adored worldwide. Golf is often viewed as a sport with less health benefits than higher impact games like basketball or football, but it is really a healthy pastime. As I get older, golf helps keep me in shape.
Remember to stretch and warm up before you golf. Swinging the golf club can teat fascia in the back if you are not warmed up, and it can even harm your joints if you haven't played in awhile. Before you begin your game, stretch your back, arms and legs and take a walk around the green. Overexerting a cold muscle is a sure way to get muscle strain or sprain. The great thing about golf is that it is played outside in fresh air with plenty of Sun and natural scenery.
The older I get, the more I enjoy golf. The game takes skill, involves low-impact walking and is almost stress-free. Another health benefit of golf is how social it is. The game involves yourself and friends moving around a beautiful course while taking your time to make precise shots. It is a game that is light on the body but involves movement, done in nature with friendly social interaction.
