With COVID-19 locking us down, closing gyms and sports facilities and putting our normal fitness routines to a close we need to get creative to stay in shape. Jumping rope may be a great substitute for your cardio needs, and can keep you in athletic condition.
As an athlete, you need to make sure your cardio fitness is top notch, and typically this is done on the track or at the gym. Cardiopulmonary fitness goes away fast if not maintained, and the Pandemic has locked us out of the gym. Many tracks are shut down as well, so jump roping is a viable alternative.
Start by selecting a jump rope. Next, you will need 15-20 minutes to devote. Jump roping is lower impact than running, and works the body so that an aerobic level of conditioning is reached. Jumping rope is a great stationary exercise that will keep your joints limber and your cardiovascular endurance as you are locked down at home.
