Wolverhampton will be at Molineux Stadium today to welcome Crystal Palace in the English Premier League gameweek 7, it is going to be a game to watch out for considering both teams' performance in the league so far.
Both clubs occupy the 9th and 10th position on the log table respectively with the same points with -1 point separating them, Crystal Palace sits on the 9th position ahead of Wolverhampton with both clubs having 10 points respectively. It is going to be a showdown later in the day at Molineux Stadium.
While Wolverhampton will be anticipating a win against their opponent, Crystal will be hoping to build on their last result after defeating Fulham 2-1 away from home. Wolverhampton on the other side struggles to shared the point against Newcastle United.
Wolverhampton has experienced a slow start to their EPL campaign despite winning their first game against Sheffield United, they lose to Manchester City and West Ham in gameweek 2 and 3 respectively but their come back against Fulham and Leed before playing a 1-1 draw against Newcastle is not a bad one.
Crystal Palace has failed to capitalize on their impressive run to the season after defeating Southampton and Manchester United in their first two games before losing to Everton and Chelsea, the club also shared the point against Brighton before winning Fulham in their last game.
Possible Line up
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Patricio; Boly, Coady, Kilman; Marcal, Neves, Dendoncker, Semedo; Podence, Jimenez, Neto
Crystal Palace
Guaita; Clyne, Cahill, Dann, Mitchell; Townsend, Milivojevic, Riedewald, Schlupp; Batshuayi, Zaha
Both Zaha and Jimenez have been doing well for their respective clubs since the start of the season with brilliant goals, both players were on target in their last league game. Wilfred Zaha has managed 5 goals in the league while Jimenez has scored 4 goals, the two players will be a player to watch out for in the box when their club faces each other later today.
Wolverhampton manager will have lots of options in his selection for this game with only Spanish defender Castro on the injury list while Palace will be missing the services of players like Ferguson, Wayne Hennessey , and Wickham, but Ayew and Butland will be available for the game after been declared Coronavirus free.
Although, it is not going to be an easy game for Wolverhampton but I will be backing them to pick up the maximum points because Wolverhampton manager Nuno will be having lots of options in his attacking role with the likes of Jimenez, Traore, Podence, Pedro Neto, and Moutinho all match fit. On the other end, I don't expect Crystal Palace to struggle before hitting Wolves net with the recent form of Zaha and the combination of Batshuayi up front.
My tip
Wolverhampton 2 -1 Crystal Palace
