Toni kroos was speaking against the English premier league, he said when he wanted to move from Bayern Munich, some clubs from England bid did his and they were ready to pay him even more than Real Madrid's payment but he choose Real Madrid because he care about the future, not present and that is why he has won many trophies. But he added that Premier League spends money but they didn't win many Champions League, even Real Madrid that didn't spend money win Champions League but people quote him wrong for that because Real Madrid just stopped spending money recently and it's because they have enough materials to win trophies.
I think Toni kroos said that because he is playing at Spain, not England, I even like him as he didn't play at England because he might have encountered many injury that might spoil his career. Premier league is hard, not as easy as Spanish Laliga and that is why they spend money, they want to compete with themselves, they don't want to know if there is a boss or big club somewhere, everyone needed to win, it's been like that ever since Leicester City came from relegation and won premier league, other small clubs think they can do it too, they also want to win the league or play Champions League, they don't want to be a small club again.
Spending money now doesn't mean the result would come instantly, the result is later, I remember when Real Madrid bought Almighty Kaka, Christiano Ronaldo, Kareem Benzema, Xabi Alonso, etc, that was 2009 but they didn't win Champions League until 2014 and they've spent the money ever since 2009, so Tony Kroos talking didn't check record well before he talk. Real Madrid too used to spend money, even when the fair play rule never exist, we know them as the club that spends money in order to win the Champions League and that is why they are the one that has won Champions League most presently. They have 14, most especially the tremble they won is a big record.
England spending money now knows what they do, the money they are spending is not because of trophy alone, the players that they bought with huge amount of money have endorsement with them and their endorsement income would be shared by the player and the club that they play for, so the more endorsement the players they bought have, the more money they make through that, they do business with buying players, not just for winning trophies. But this season, I am not sure that Real Madrid would be able to win either Champions League or their Spanish laliga because Barcelona has get set.
