No matter how we want to spin it, Aguero would forever remain a Premier League great. Coming from me, a Manchester United fan, I had nothing but great admiration for him - for his vision, wonderful eyes for goals, speed, technique and the history he created with City. He was everything Robinho hoped he would be for City but fell short of.

Sergio Kun Aguero won City their first title against Queens Park Rangers in 2012 and I was so enraged. I thought Manchester United had won it until QPR eased their foot off the gas when they noticed they were safe after we played our game against Sunderland that day. I was already celebrating with my cousin in the room and reluctantly, as a Chelsea fan, he celebrated with me only for one certain Sergio Aguero to break my heart to pieces and oh boy! I hated him.

I was always wary whenever we face City and he was in the line-up. I knew how tricky and unpredictable he could be so I didn't want him near our post at all. Over the years, the hate turned to admiration because let's face it, no one can erase his records not even if they tried. In the same way, I would laugh at those who hate Cristiano Ronaldo or those who choose to hate Lionel Messi. Records speak no matter how you want to spin it... You either learn to respect them or keep hurting silently because there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Speaking of his undeniable statistics, Sergio Kun Aguero has 427 career goals for clubs and his country; Argentina and he won an incredible 20 major trophies with the latest one being the 2021 Copa America title that he won with Argentina recently. In his 10 years association with Manchester City won him 5 Premier League titles and the first coming in 2012 and he also boasts of 12 hat-tricks which is one more than the record holder; Alan Shearer.

He also has 184 Premier League goals to his name with Alan Shearer - 260, Wayne Mark Rooney - 208 and Andy Cole - 187 ahead of him in the ranks. He also got 260 goals for City in all competitions and that's the most for a player in England for a single club. What's not to love about Aguero? You might not like him depending on the club you are supporting and that's fair but you've got to respect him and all he brought even to the English League. What a talent he is.

He retired at the age of 33 after he was advised by the medical team due to his heart condition and I think he must have thought hard about this, hoped to push through before coming to this conclusion. I think he made the right call because it is better to have him retire honourably than to have him leave the pitch in the gas tank with uncertainty looming.

Farewell to your footballing talents, Aguero... Your impact can never be erased from history and you made it easy to fall in love with you...your smiles, your incredible goals and crazy hairstyles too.

He played for Independiente 56 times and scored 23 goals, for Atletico Madrid 234 times and scored 102 goals, for Manchester City 390 times and scored 260 goals while appearing for his latest and last club; Barcelona 5 times and he netted just once.

He also appeared 101 times for the Albiceleste and he scored 41 times as well. What a career he has had. He would have scored even more goals for Barcelona if not for his health challenge and Barcelona would miss a proven scorer like Aguero as it is obvious how they are struggling this season.
