The blues and the hammers faced off on Monday night in what was expected to be difficult match for the blues with Westham always causing Chelsea serious issues when they meet.
It didn't take long into the game before chelsea took the lead from a Mason Mount corner kick which captain Thiago Silva nodded home in what was a free header.
Westham tried to come back into the gamein the first half but Chelsea held firm controlling possession and good defending by the defensive pairing of Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma.
The blues were struck with another injury blow defender Ben Chilwell had to come off after twisting his ankle after a collision with Bowen and Palmeras came in to replace him.
Westham started the second half dominating possession and looking dangerous but the blues placed the game beyond their reach after with two quickfire goals from striker Tammy Abraham to secure a comfortable win for the blues against the hammers.
