The English Premier League defending Champion has got a lot of fans doubting what their future might be in the Champions League following what came of the result after their second clash with Atalanta on Wednesday evening.

Atalanta was humiliated in their first match against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League when Jurgeon Klopp first paid a visit to Italy. They suffered a 5 - 0 defeat in the hands of the English side at home and it was such an unbelievable event for football fans who aren't expecting such a gapped scoreline but rather a tough game for the England team at Atalanta's stadium.

Apparently, it was expected that Atalanta would again suffer another defeat when they paid a visit to Anfield following the outcome of their first match, but the whole story was different. Atalanta did to Liverpool the same thing they did to them in Italy. Beating Premier League defending champions at home seems impossible as nobody actually expected it, but the Italians did it even with a clean sheet.

Though It's normal to believe that the event that occurred yesterday at Anfield was as a result of the injury curse which befell Liverpool recently as most of their known and/or first eleven players are not present, we're still talking about the same team that beat the inform Leicester City 3 goals to nil last week.

Now the story has changed a little bit more. Recall that Liverpool's first encounter with Ajax saw them go home with three points in a match you would actually agree was more dominated by Ajax. Ajax would want to give their next encounter with Liverpool their all. Which means the English side needs to be more careful with the way Ajax is handled unlike Atalanta else their only hope would be their last match with Midtjylland, and you can't always predict what might come out of that.
