Gennaro Gatusso was fired in Napoli, but a few days later he was presented as the new coach of Fiorentina but that relationship did not last long and it lasted for only three and weeks later he resigned from the club.
Fiorentina were again on the hunt for a coach, and now they have found their man at another Serie A club. The choice has fallen on Vincenzo Italiano, who has signed a two-year contract with the possibility of an extension for another year.
Italiano has played in the lower ranks in Italy with clubs such as Trapani and Arzignano, but last season he got the chance at Spezia, and he led them to Serie A. Last season was the 43-year-old Italian's first in the country's best row, and here he led the promotions to a surprising 15th place, thus securing the club another season in Serie A.
