5 veteran coaches in the history of the English League

The English League is one of the most watched football leagues in the world. Famous for its fast-paced drama, the league has awarded some of the best players and coaches. Several coaches in the Premier League have moved clubs. Among them are Mark Hughes, who has coached six different Premier League teams, and Sam Allardyce, who has coached seven Premier League teams, who often change clubs.

Here are the five oldest coaches who have worked in the Premier League.

1. Roy Hudson (73 years, 42 days)

In his long and remarkable coaching career, Roy Hodgson has coached various clubs in four countries. He is the coach who led Blackburn Rovers to sixth place in the Premier League from 1997 to 1999.

However, bad results from the following season freed Hudson from his duties at Blackburn. It took him a decade to return as coach in the English Premier League.

Hodgson coached Fulham for two seasons in 2007 and moved to Liverpool in 2010. Hodgson, however, remained at Anfield for just six months before joining West Bromwich Albion in February 2011.

After four years in charge of the England national team, Hodgson still coaches Crystal Palace. He even beat Man United in the 2020-2012 season.

In September 2020, Crystal Palace won 3-1 at Manchester United at Old Trafford. The victory was great for Hodgson. Because the British man is 73 years old.

2. Bobby Robson (years1, 199 days)

Bobby Robson began his coaching career with his club Fulham. He then coached Newcastle United in the 1999-2000 Premier League season.

He finished Newcastle 11th in the league that season. In addition, they were able to bring The Magpies to fourth place the following season.

However, Newcastle's poor form began in the 2004-05 season. They fell behind to 17th position. During the last match, Robson's Newcastle lost to Aston Villa, where Robson was 711 years old.

In the last match of his coaching career, the then 1-year-old Ferguson watched the match against West Bromwich Albion of Man United, which ended in a 5-5 draw in the 2012-2013 season.

4. Neil Warnock (70 years, 83 days)

Neil Warnock when he was 70-year-old Korich Cardiff City. He helped Cardiff beat Manchester United at Old Trafford in the 2018-2019 season.

A year ago, Warnock was able to bring Cardiff's promotion to the Premier League's highest variety. However, due to disappointing results, he failed to keep his team running, especially in the second half of the season.

5. Giuseppe Hiddink (years 9 years, 169 days)

Giuseppe Hiddink had his first career in the Premier League in early 2009. The London giants then anchored Chelsea as temporary coach instead of Lut Felipe Scolari.
