Jadon Sancho was reportedly at the top of Ole Gunnar Solskjær's wish list in this summer's transfer window. However, it seems there was never a deal for English man.

Manchester United were reportedly never close to being able to present Jadon Sancho, who in total could have cost "The Red Devils" £120 million, if you take the transfer fee, salary and so on into account.

Manchester United's offer was never accepted by Borussia Dortmund. However, the Premier League club's offer for the Jadon Sancho camp was never accepted either. Manchester United, who were reportedly determined to maintain the club's salary structure, should initially have offered Sancho a lower salary than he gets in Dortmund.

Manchester United's second offer to Jadon Sancho reportedly matched the salary that the Englishman is currently collecting at the Bundesliga club. Sancho, however, would have the option of a marginally better salary at Old Trafford, which, however, would be based on the winger's performance.

Manchester United did not think that Jadon Sancho's valuation of £80 million was realistic, if you take the economic corona crisis into account. In Dortmund, however, it was thought that £80 million was an absolute minimum. The Bundesliga club planned a transfer fee, which approached the almost £90 million that FC Barcelona ended up paying for Ousmane Dembélé.

Borussia Dortmund had set a deadline on August 10, when Manchester United should have offered £80 million at the latest. As you know, this did not happen. However, according to the Daily Mail, Manchester United tried with a bid at the end of September. "The Red Devils" offered £69 million plus bonuses and clauses, which is why Manchester United was never close to Jadon Sancho.
