Owen da gama says if we talk about national team and club football, there is a big difference. If you adapt in both then you are a good player. But if you only do well on club football level, and fumbles in national team, you are not good enough. I have worked with the national team,, there are criteria that are used to select players, it does not matter if you are on top of your game at Club level, and when you get a call up to the national team you fail to deliver. Next match you will be overlooked because at Club level you working there every day, so it's your comfort zone, at national level we need players who adapt very quickly, because we only spend few days before it's match day, unlike in club level were your life is forever there. I have seen several Players being called to Bafana Bafana who are said to be doing well in club level and fumbled in AFCON Qualifiers in crucial moments, those players even play Caf Champions League year in and year out in club level, but failed dismally to take Bafana Bafana over the line in Sudan. What am saying is congratulations to SAFA to finally appoint a Coach who is not told how to do his job. This squad will go far.
