Table tennis has always been one of my best indoor sports even at a very young age. Back in the days during my childhood days, my dad used to have some table tennis stuffs like the bat, a pack of table tennis balls and the net. I never knew what those things was used for back then as a child, until I decided to clear my curiosity and asked my dad and he told me what it was and how it was played… that was when I knew what table tennis was. Also, I came across table tennis games on tv and watched a lot during the Olympics. It was when I watched it on Tv that my interest in table tennis grew. I was fascinated how people could have such amazing reflexes and sharp eye sights… that was pretty much how my journey to becoming a huge fan of table tennis began…
Still back then, i and my friends used to make a crude table tennis environment to play table tennis… all we did was to get a big enough flat board, place it on 2 chairs, and crudely hand the net across the board and we were all set to have some fun… to be honest, it was totally fun to play. We had a lot of fun playing it. That was how I began to learn and improve my table tennis skills. Moving higher to uni, those fun table tennis days came to a halt and it was all about other things. Visiting a sport center where proper and professional table tennis was played brought back those amazing memories and as expected, I was tempted to give it a go as I thought I had lost my skills… as usual, I was a bit rusty but the fun was still there… that was the first time I came across a real and professional table tennis in real life and I was blown away. My interest in table tennis grew even bigger… the more I played it, the more I liked and enjoyed the experience. As expected, I became pretty good at it, won a lot of matches and till this day, I still play and enjoy table tennis – it is such an amazing sport.
